125.0 MWp Talugtug Solar Power Project
Groundbreaking Ceremonies
The Philippines has officially launched the 125 MWp Talugtug Solar Power Project in Nueva Ecija, spearheaded by Greenergy Solutions Inc. (GSI). This initiative is a vital part of the Department of Energy's Green Energy Auction Program, accelerating clean energy expansion and resilience. The facility, secured in partnership with China Huadian Hongkong Company Ltd., spans 143 hectares and will inject 99.98 MWac of power into the Luzon grid by March 2025.
The project’s long-term stability is backed by a 25-year Solar Energy Service Contract and a 20-year Renewable Energy Payment Agreement. Talugtug represents Phase One of GSI's 600 MWp regional plan, focused on Achieving Energy Self-Reliance and significantly Reducing Fossil Fuel Dependence. Crucially, the project delivers direct local benefits, including long-term employment and consistent tax revenue for the Nueva Ecija community over its 25-year duration.
